MSDN Webcast: Introducing Web Services in SQL Server 2005—Level 200 Posted: 24 Feb 2005 03:27 PM |
Since SQLXML 3.0, you have been able to expose SQL Server™ data directly as a Web service. Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Beta 2 builds on this functionality by supporting XML as a first-class data type, as well as by providing a new query language for XML documents and allowing you to perform in-place modifications. In this webcast you will learn about the new Web service features in SQL Server 2005 and you will see how SQL Server in conjunction with Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 can be used as a Web service provider without the need for Microsoft® Internet Information Services (IIS).
Presenter: Srik Raghavan, Lead Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation
