Australian SQL Server User Groups

These user groups meet in most major cities, to bring together interested people to discuss all topics relevant to SQL Server. There is a wide variety of topics/presentations, and more details can be found at www.sqlserver.com.au.

Here's a list of upcoming February event some of the upcoming meetings

8th - Canberra Reporting services
15th - Melbourne Overview of SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence
16th - Perth Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Overview
22th - Sydney SQL Server 2000 Security

February 22nd - SQL Server 2000 Security.
Victor Isakov (MCT, MCSE, MCDBA) will focus on SQL Server 2000 Security, having a look at how SQL Server can be attacked and correspondingly defended.

March 22nd - Introduction to CLR integration in SQL Server 2005
Greg Low (MVP) will be providing an introduction to the CLR integration provided by SQL Server 2005, in terms of what it means for both developers and for database administrators.

April 26th - Microsift Business Intelligence (BI) - what will my User see.
Grant Paisley (MVP) will be giving an overview of the rich BI client tools offerings from Microsoft including Office Web Commonents, BI Portal, Sharepoint, Reporting Services, Excel, Data Analyser, Scorecard Accelerator.
