Q about migration sp2
Posted: 21 Feb 2007 11:18 AM
Hi all,

First post on here.

I have a SQL2005 server with integration service and reporting service, these all have SP1 installed.

The machine now needs Analysis server, which I have just installed, this however isnt SP1.

Can I roll out SP2 over the top of all services and leave it at that or do I need to SP1 the analysis server then move to SP2?

Thanks
Paul

I don't know the answer, but I'll ask amongst some of the SQL MVPs & see what I can dig up for you.

Cheers,

Just to let you know I re-ran the SP1 update last night, just checking the analysis server for update so all ready for sp2.

Thanks again.

SQL Server Service Packs (from memory) have always been cumulative.

So there is no need to install prior service packs. (Generally ;o Always seem to be exceptions with Microsoft!)
