Author: Peter Ward Date Posted: 9/06/2011 11:25:30 AM
In this demo-rich presentation, we'll walk through the creation of BI Dashboards using Sharepoint/PerformancePoint Services 2010 and Analysis Services cubes. We’ll cover the process from end-to-end including creating a Business Intelligence site within Sharepoint 2010, creating dashboards and dashboard components such as graphs, charts and KPI scorecards with Dashboard Designer, configuring data source security, creating drill-through actions and the power of decomposition trees. We’ll also cover various deployment scenarios including the security challenges of a per-user identity extranet deployment.

About the Presenter
Rod Colledge is a co-founder, director and principal consultant with StrataDB, a Brisbane-based provider of SQL Server Business Intelligence and High Availability solutions to both Corporate and Government clients. An MVP since January 2010, Rod authored the Manning published book SQL Server 2008 Administration in Action, is contributing a chapter to the upcoming 2nd edition of SQL Server MVP Deep Dives, and is a regular speaker at various SQL Server conferences and user groups including PASS 2009 and TechEd 2010. Rod blogs at rodcolledge.com, tweets @rodcolledge and is the founder of SQLCrunch.com. In his spare time, Rod dreams of retiring and competing in the US Masters Golf Tournament. He’s not even remotely close to achieving either of those, so he spends most of his spare time “coaching” his young children to international sporting success and untold riches.
