Reporting Services Tips and Techniques (Chris Testa-O'Neill)

As greater collaboration between business stakeholders and BI professional occur in implementing reports, this session will focus on how best to facilitate the reports created by installing, configuring and administering Reporting Services. The reports may look good and provide the users with the information required. However, ensuring that the reports are delivered in a timely manner can be an important measure of the success of even entire BI projects. This session will focus on tips and techniques that you can use tune and optimise reports to ensure that report consumers can get the reports they need, when they need it!

Chris Testa-O'Neill is a Practice Consultant at EMC Consulting. He specialises in SQL Server Business Intelligence Solutions in the SQL 2005 and 2008 product range. Chris is also a technical author is currently working on E-Learning courses for SQL Server 2008 with Microsoft Learning. He also runs the Manchester SQL Server User Group and is a SQLBits Organiser. Chris is a SQL Server MVP and MCT and has Microsoft qualifications in MCDBA, MCTS and MCITP in SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 as well as an MCSE in Windows Server 2000 and 2003.
