'execute as' is a new feature of SQL2005. It has won acclaim in some circles, and certainly the new certification exams like to ask about it. In this talk, Rob Farley looks at 'execute as', and explores a few ideas surrounding it, even delving into such concepts as unit testing, schemas and ownership chaining.

Rob Farley runs the Adelaide SQL Server User Group. He has been using databases extensively since leaving university in 1997, but considers himself more of a database developer than a database administrator. He holds various Microsoft certifications, and has recently sat way too many beta exams. You can read his blog at http://robfarley.blogspot.com
